DNA Testing for Immigration

Embassies require DNA testing when a familial relationship is in question. DNA Identity Testing is often requested by the USCIS/US Department of Homeland Security in order to establish a parent-child or family relationship. Conducting a DNA test is the most reliable, accurate way of proving a family relationship.

DNA Identifiers provides a convenient DNA Testing service - we will travel to you in order to collect your DNA sample. (Therefore, you will not have to travel to a clinic and you will not have to pay clinic collection fees.) When our collector arrives, you will need to provide valid photo identification as well as a copy of the immigration paperwork, including the case number. The collector will then take a photograph of your face, fill out the laboratory paperwork and collect a DNA sample using a painless cotton swab.

The DNA sample and immigration paperwork is then delivered to the laboratory. Using the information you provide, the laboratory will deliver the proper supplies (DNA testing sample kit and paperwork) to the Embassy, who then arranges a sample collection appointment for the person being tested in that country.

It is important to know that almost every Embassy will charge a small fee to have the DNA sample collected at their location. DNA Identifiers and it's laboratory does not know what that fee is as it varies from location to location. However, the Embassy will notify the person being tested before they reach their appointment.

At the appointment, the Embassy doctor or nurse will perform the DNA Sample collection, take a photograph and fill out the proper documents. The package will be sent back to the laboratory. Once all the samples have been received, the laboratory will begin the testing process.

Paternity Test results are typically available two business days from the date the final sample is received in the lab. Once testing has commenced and the results are available, the laboratory mails official, notarized results are directly to the Embassy, as well as to whomever you, the client, has requested in writing (such as your self and your lawyer).

DNA Identifiers is notified as soon as the laboratory is ready to release the results. You may elect to receive initial notification in any manner of your choosing: phone call, email, fax or any combination of your choice. The official documents detailing the results will be delivered in the mail to you via USPS, or delivered via UPS for an additional fee of $25. If you wish to have official documents delivered to more than one national location, you will not pay a fee unless you elect to use UPS for delivery to those locations.

Service Fees

The fee for the DNA test will vary based on type of test needed and your location - please call for a price quote. (We have comptitive prices and payment options. DNA Identifiers will accept Cash, Money Order, Visa or Master Card.)

You, the client, will also need to pay UPS International Shipping fees for all of the documents and the DNA Sample Collection Kit. The cost for shipping is $50 for each shipment and there are typically three shipments:
1) DNA Sample kit and paperwork to the embassy = $50.00
2) The return of the paperwork and sample to the lab = $50.00
3) The return of the final results to the embassy for processing = $50.00.
Therefore, the total international shipping cost is $150.00.
